Overview

Sea Five is a luxurious boutique guesthouse located in the Camps Bay area of Cape Town. It’s conveniently just 300 metres from the beach and looks out on to the ocean, while also offering wonderful views of Table Mountain. Styled as a ‘beach house with a difference’, the property has just seven bedrooms and a pleasant and relaxed, contemporary feel.

The accommodation comprises four room categories. Garden Rooms are set on the ground floor and are designed to be bright and airy; each one with a private garden area complete with outdoor furniture. Mountain Suites, as their name suggests, offer stunning views of the nearby mountain scenery, looking out onto Table Mountain and the Twelve Apostles Mountain Range. Then there’s the Ocean Suite, which faces the ocean and has a private terrace offering broad, sweeping views of the coastline. The largest option by far is the Penthouse Suite, which comes with two bedrooms and bathrooms, along with a private lounge and four terraces. All rooms come with air conditioning, underfloor heating in the bathrooms, satellite TV and a personal in-room bar. Room design pays homage to seaside villas found throughout the Mediterranean, with touches of South African heritage as well.

Camps Bay is one of Cape Town’s most upmarket areas and while Sea Five is located in a quieter part of the vibrant suburb, it’s still well positioned for exploring the immediate area and the rest of the city. Camps Bay is popular with tourists and locals alike, especially during the summer months. There are several white sand beaches to visit, as well as plenty of trendy shops, gourmet restaurants and sophisticated bars. Many also enjoy hiking and exploring the area’s many scenic nature trails.

When not out exploring the city and its diverse suburbs, guests are free to unwind at the guesthouse. There’s a tranquil garden, as well as an outdoor pool with sun loungers and a bar serving light meals and refreshing drinks. Children are welcome, and while there is no designated babysitting service or particular child-related facilities, there’s plenty for all age groups to enjoy in the surrounding area.

  • Thank you, we had an absolute wonderful time, and everything was well-planned and as described. Carla was crying on the day of our departure from Ants Nest, she didn’t want to go home and for it all to end, and when I asked how much longer she would want to stay, she responded “four weeks”

  • It was certainly a holiday of a lifetime for us and we loved every minute!! The standard and location of each accommodation was excellent, as was the variety of each different accommodation type. Our schedule was perfect and we managed to achieve everything on our to-do task list. Your documents were also really helpful, as were the driving directions. We all thank you for making this such a wonderful holiday. Happy to leave a review publicly if you point me the right way. Best Steve

  • Hi Lisa, We had a fabulous time thank you. The accommodation and other ideation were all terrific - that’s so much for your help. The apartment in Cape Town was particularly good - we would never have found that: Boschendal was great as well and game lodge was superb. Thanks again, Alistair
