Overview

Located in Cape Town’s quiet Oranjezicht suburb, the Three Boutique Hotel is a charming retreat set in a manor house dating back to the 18th century. The hotel’s location in one of the more residential areas of Cape Town makes it ideal for those who want to visit the bustling city but who also wish to escape to peaceful surroundings after a busy day’s shopping and sight-seeing. The stunning views of nearby Table Mountain are one of the real highlights of a stay at Three Boutique. The hotel belongs to the Lion Roars Hotels Portfolio, which specialises in offering luxury boutique accommodation in various locations throughout South Africa.

There are a total of 18 air conditioned rooms which come in three categories: the Standard Room, the Luxury Double Room and the Studio Suite. All rooms are chic, contemporary, minimalistic in style and well equipped. Bathrobes and slippers are provided in the en-suite bathroom, which comes with a walk-in shower - some bathrooms also have a separate bathtub. Amenities found in all rooms include a satellite TV, tea and coffee making facilities and a minibar.

There’s a shuttle service to the city centre, which is about 10-15 minutes away, though note there’s an extra charge for this. The hotel has a small pool and a rooftop terrace where guests can take in majestic views of Table Mountain and the other mountains towering the city. A buffet breakfast is provided, with an on-site bar providing an array of drinks. The hotel recently launched a dinner service, with the menu inspired by the Cape Malays, a local ethnic group. Guests will need to look elsewhere for something to eat at lunchtime, though there are more than enough cafes and restaurants within easy reach in the city.

Various guided excursions are on offer for anyone wishing to explore the city and the surrounding area. Some examples are Wineland tours where wine tastings are on offer, Township tours to explore the city and its history, and visits to Cape Peninsula, with many captivating mountain and ocean views to enjoy along the way.

Children are welcome to stay at The Three Boutique Hotel. While there aren’t any specific child-designated facilities or services as such, there’s a great deal on offer for children and families in Cape Town and the wider area.

  • Thank you, we had an absolute wonderful time, and everything was well-planned and as described. Carla was crying on the day of our departure from Ants Nest, she didn’t want to go home and for it all to end, and when I asked how much longer she would want to stay, she responded “four weeks”

  • It was certainly a holiday of a lifetime for us and we loved every minute!! The standard and location of each accommodation was excellent, as was the variety of each different accommodation type. Our schedule was perfect and we managed to achieve everything on our to-do task list. Your documents were also really helpful, as were the driving directions. We all thank you for making this such a wonderful holiday. Happy to leave a review publicly if you point me the right way. Best Steve

  • Hi Lisa, We had a fabulous time thank you. The accommodation and other ideation were all terrific - that’s so much for your help. The apartment in Cape Town was particularly good - we would never have found that: Boschendal was great as well and game lodge was superb. Thanks again, Alistair
