Selinda camp is a high end property situated in the private Selinda reserve, Northern Botswana. An intimate camp in a prime position, Selinda promises guests superb game viewing and an authentic experience.
The main guest areas are surrounded by extensive decking with stunning views across the plains. Pleasant dining and lounge areas surround the guest swimming pool and there is also a gift shop, wine cellar and campfire.
The activities here take advantage of some of the most consistent game viewing in the area. The twice daily game drives are led by exceptional guides who make the most of the unusual scenery. Night safari, walking, motorboat and canoe safari are all available to guests who want to get out and explore and take advantage of the excellent wildlife. The area is renowned for elephants, lions, leopards and wild dogs providing some fantastic photo opportunities. The camp itself has a charming passing trade; baboons and monkeys will often be seen wandering around camp.
Accommodation is split into 9 nine tented villas, housing 18 guests and one family suite housing those travelling with children. Each Meru tent is raised on decking and feature authentic thatched roofs. The rooms themselves are large, with double doors opening on to private verandahs and traditional furnishings. All ensuite, the bathrooms have free standing bath tubs, conventional toilets and outdoor showers. In room massages can also be booked for some pampering in between safaris.
Children from 6 years are welcome at Selinda, however families with children between the ages of 6 and 15 will need to book a private vehicle at the time of enquiry.
Selinda Camp is a great option for those looking for the best wildlife opportunities in an untouched setting. The staff and activities offered really are faultless and make the camp hugely popular.
We had such a good holiday. You did a fantastic job!
The house in Marrakesh was ridiculous. We effectively had it to ourselves. The accommodation was borderline palatial.
I actually think that the time we had in Marrakesh was sufficient. We could potentially have done a day by a pool but I think we’d done enough souk-ing by the end of Day Two.
The hotel in the mountains was a shade more rustic than I was expecting, but all great fun. Stunning views. The guide / mule / cook team were excellent and our guide (Hassan) tailored the treks to our capabilities well. He was superb, and really made an effort with the kids. The second and third day of trekking were particularly good. Such an adventure for the kids.
All the logistics worked seamlessly. Every aspect went like clockwork. Top marks. The advice on tipping was also much appreciated (I hate thinking that I’m getting mugged off or am potentially not giving enough…).
From my seven-year-old son:
I thought it was GREAT. The food was amazing and the culture was very interesting. My favourite bit was scrambling up rocks in the Atlas Mountains.
In retrospect, I’d probably do the trip in reverse. Flopping on the roof terrace after the rigours of the mountains would have been even more satisfying.

We had an amazing experience - absolutely loved it.
Mohamed and Said were great and very patient especially with me going downhill - was quite nervous about the scree slopes and paths. Will be a trip we remember forever
