EnquireA lovely riad, with welcoming staff and its own Hamman, located in the medina, north east of the main square. The four rooms are all beautifully furnished with fantastic bathrooms to boot.
Riad Tzarra is situated north west of the Djemma El Fna, (the central square in Marrakech), about a 5 minute walk. It is just a brief 3 minute walk from the spice markets of the souk, which are a highly evocative part of the medina to wander around. The riad has four bedrooms, all of which have their own unique and individual style. The rooms all look out onto the courtyard which has a heated plunge pool and there are several communal areas including a lovely roof terrace decked out with sun loungers. There are also communal areas including a lounge with an open fire and an honesty box bar. For those wanting the full pampering treatment, there is also a Hamman on site, where you can book a treatment.
There are four bedrooms in total, all of which are beautifully designed and exquisitely comfortable. The stylish decorations are based on the theme of travel using rich colours and imaginative details. Each room has its own bathroom with bath or shower, WC and basin and there is plenty of storage space. All bedrooms are air-conditioned and are equipped with an iPod docking station and a safe for guests' personal effects.
We had such a good holiday. You did a fantastic job!
The house in Marrakesh was ridiculous. We effectively had it to ourselves. The accommodation was borderline palatial.
I actually think that the time we had in Marrakesh was sufficient. We could potentially have done a day by a pool but I think we’d done enough souk-ing by the end of Day Two.
The hotel in the mountains was a shade more rustic than I was expecting, but all great fun. Stunning views. The guide / mule / cook team were excellent and our guide (Hassan) tailored the treks to our capabilities well. He was superb, and really made an effort with the kids. The second and third day of trekking were particularly good. Such an adventure for the kids.
All the logistics worked seamlessly. Every aspect went like clockwork. Top marks. The advice on tipping was also much appreciated (I hate thinking that I’m getting mugged off or am potentially not giving enough…).
From my seven-year-old son:
I thought it was GREAT. The food was amazing and the culture was very interesting. My favourite bit was scrambling up rocks in the Atlas Mountains.
In retrospect, I’d probably do the trip in reverse. Flopping on the roof terrace after the rigours of the mountains would have been even more satisfying.

Trip was great and all the arrangements were excellent so thank you for all the help!
Drivers and transfers were all good - on time and very good service on each trip.
Accommodation was lovely - Douar Samra was amazing (weather could have been better but lovely regardless). Riad in Marrakesh was also great!
All in all a great trip and we loved the variety of the mountains, Marrakesh and the coast.
Thanks you once again!
