Overview

Exotic, opulent and a haven from the souks, Riad Due is a perfect choice if you’re looking to stay somewhere extra special. Located in a lovely part of the old town it’s in a great position for exploring and is in an excellent position for wandering to and from the main square – great for first time visitors to Marrakech.

As one of our boutique properties, you’ll find Riad Due offers top notch service and those all-important extra touches, though this does come at a premium. The refreshing face cloths, mint tea and biscuits on arrival set the tone and from this point you’re guaranteed to feel well looked after. An English speaking concierge is available each morning to give advice, directions or make reservations, helping you to get the most out of your time in the city.

The riad has just 4 rooms which are centred around an open courtyard and plunge pool. The suite rooms are all huge with air-conditioning, big double beds and en-suites. The bathrooms have rain drench showers, gorgeously scented toiletries, dressing gowns and fluffy towels. For families or groups of friends we recommend taking the two suites on the first floor. These are both accessed through a small sitting room, creating a space in the riad which is exclusively for you to enjoy.

Throughout the property traditional styling has been artfully blended with contemporary touches. Intricate carvings, earthy tones, and smooth plaster walls are blended with pieces of statement furniture, artworks and colourful furnishings. On the top floor of Riad Due you’ll find a roof terrace with great views over the city, a great place to settle with a glass or wine and a good book.

Wifi is available throughout the riad and alcohol is served.

  • We had such a good holiday. You did a fantastic job!

The house in Marrakesh was ridiculous. We effectively had it to ourselves. The accommodation was borderline palatial.

I actually think that the time we had in Marrakesh was sufficient. We could potentially have done a day by a pool but I think we’d done enough souk-ing by the end of Day Two.

The hotel in the mountains was a shade more rustic than I was expecting, but all great fun. Stunning views. The guide / mule / cook team were excellent and our guide (Hassan) tailored the treks to our capabilities well. He was superb, and really made an effort with the kids. The second and third day of trekking were particularly good. Such an adventure for the kids.

All the logistics worked seamlessly. Every aspect went like clockwork. Top marks. The advice on tipping was also much appreciated (I hate thinking that I’m getting mugged off or am potentially not giving enough…).

    From my seven-year-old son:

I thought it was GREAT. The food was amazing and the culture was very interesting. My favourite bit was scrambling up rocks in the Atlas Mountains.

In retrospect, I’d probably do the trip in reverse. Flopping on the roof terrace after the rigours of the mountains would have been even more satisfying.

  • Trip was great and all the arrangements were excellent so thank you for all the help!

Drivers and transfers were all good - on time and very good service on each trip.

Accommodation was lovely - Douar Samra was amazing (weather could have been better but lovely regardless). Riad in Marrakesh was also great!

All in all a great trip and we loved the variety of the mountains, Marrakesh and the coast.

    Thanks you once again!
