If you're looking to wind down for a few days after an active holiday Villa Dinari is a lovely option.
Run by Heather and her husband Abdellatif you will be staying in one of the intimate, self contained garden chalets. Traditionally built and beautifully decorated each one is nestled in a private spot deep in the Villa's garden. There are larger chalets for families and some large suite options for couples and friends. Each room has tea and coffee making facilities, an ipod dock and minibar.
By basing yourself in the Marrakech suburbs you get the best of both worlds; you're far enough out to escape the pace of the city and enjoy a spacious hotel with large pool (which you just can't find in the Medina) but are close enough to easily be able to pop in and out if you feel like it. From Villa Dinari a taxi costs around £12 each way or you can travel like the locals and catch the one of the frequently running buses for around 30p!
Lunch and dinner are available, both Moroccan and international cuisine is served which can be a relief for those who have maxed out on Tagine. Nezha, the cook and housekeeper, is known far and wide for her especially delicious Banana cake. As a guide lunch is around £9 per person and dinner £22 per person.
Usually bookings need to be a minimum of 3 nights, but this can sometimes be waivered, please get in touch with one of the Tourdust team for further information.
We had such a good holiday. You did a fantastic job!
The house in Marrakesh was ridiculous. We effectively had it to ourselves. The accommodation was borderline palatial.
I actually think that the time we had in Marrakesh was sufficient. We could potentially have done a day by a pool but I think we’d done enough souk-ing by the end of Day Two.
The hotel in the mountains was a shade more rustic than I was expecting, but all great fun. Stunning views. The guide / mule / cook team were excellent and our guide (Hassan) tailored the treks to our capabilities well. He was superb, and really made an effort with the kids. The second and third day of trekking were particularly good. Such an adventure for the kids.
All the logistics worked seamlessly. Every aspect went like clockwork. Top marks. The advice on tipping was also much appreciated (I hate thinking that I’m getting mugged off or am potentially not giving enough…).
From my seven-year-old son:
I thought it was GREAT. The food was amazing and the culture was very interesting. My favourite bit was scrambling up rocks in the Atlas Mountains.
In retrospect, I’d probably do the trip in reverse. Flopping on the roof terrace after the rigours of the mountains would have been even more satisfying.

Trip was great and all the arrangements were excellent so thank you for all the help!
Drivers and transfers were all good - on time and very good service on each trip.
Accommodation was lovely - Douar Samra was amazing (weather could have been better but lovely regardless). Riad in Marrakesh was also great!
All in all a great trip and we loved the variety of the mountains, Marrakesh and the coast.
Thanks you once again!
