Victoria Falls Safari Club is a contemporary, upmarket hotel located just outside the popular town of Victoria Falls in western Zimbabwe. The club sits in extensive grounds on the same site as its sister property, Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, a ten minute drive from the majestic and iconic Victoria Falls. The property offers twenty sleek, well-appointed rooms and suites along with an elegant restaurant with spectacular views, and is a great choice for travellers seeking a relaxing and tranquil base with convenient access to the myriad activities on offer in the centre of town.
The club’s main area is a spacious, open-sided, airy building with a thatched ceiling. Meals are served at individual tables by attentive waiters, as are complimentary afternoon teas and pre-dinner cocktails. The dining area has a wooden decked terrace with panoramic views over the surrounding bush, particularly glorious at sunset. Further facilities are available at the club’s nearby sister lodge, including a lively Boma restaurant which hosts regular drum and dance displays. Room service is available, and Wi-Fi is provided in the main areas.
The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service into Victoria Falls town. There's a wide array of activities to enjoy here, from tranquil cruises on the Zambezi, to game drives in the national park and guided rainforest walks. A breath-taking helicopter tour over the world famous Victoria Falls is an unforgettable experience, and not to be missed. Adrenalin seekers can put their nerves to the test with white water rafting, zip wire flights, and bungee jumping.
The accommodation comprises 20 spacious and chic rooms and suites. Each stylish, open-plan unit is decorated with contemporary African art and textiles, and features double or twin beds draped by mosquito nets. Amenities include a complimentary minibar, a coffee machine, air conditioning, ceiling fans, and Wi-Fi. The larger suites include a generous lounge. Sliding glass doors lead out onto a private balcony with superb views of the surrounding bushveld. A complimentary laundry service is provided.
Children are welcome at the Safari Club. A number of interconnecting rooms and suites are available, ideal for families or larger groups travelling together. A babysitting service is available on request.
We had such a good holiday. You did a fantastic job!
The house in Marrakesh was ridiculous. We effectively had it to ourselves. The accommodation was borderline palatial.
I actually think that the time we had in Marrakesh was sufficient. We could potentially have done a day by a pool but I think we’d done enough souk-ing by the end of Day Two.
The hotel in the mountains was a shade more rustic than I was expecting, but all great fun. Stunning views. The guide / mule / cook team were excellent and our guide (Hassan) tailored the treks to our capabilities well. He was superb, and really made an effort with the kids. The second and third day of trekking were particularly good. Such an adventure for the kids.
All the logistics worked seamlessly. Every aspect went like clockwork. Top marks. The advice on tipping was also much appreciated (I hate thinking that I’m getting mugged off or am potentially not giving enough…).
From my seven-year-old son:
I thought it was GREAT. The food was amazing and the culture was very interesting. My favourite bit was scrambling up rocks in the Atlas Mountains.
In retrospect, I’d probably do the trip in reverse. Flopping on the roof terrace after the rigours of the mountains would have been even more satisfying.

We had an amazing experience - absolutely loved it.
Mohamed and Said were great and very patient especially with me going downhill - was quite nervous about the scree slopes and paths. Will be a trip we remember forever
