Air Mauritius and British Airways both fly direct from London
Price includes 7 nights all inclusive accommodation at Paradis Beachcomber in 2x interconnecting junior beachfront rooms and return airport transfers and is based on a family of four travelling during the October Half Term School Holidays. Flight prices are typically between £800 - £1200 from London, but occasionally can be found for as low as £650pp off season.
Mauritius is a year-round destination that it is at its best for October Half Term, Christmas & New Year and Easter Holidays. February Half Term does fall within cyclone season, so can be wet, but can also be exceptional value. During the summer holidays (July, August), Mauritius is very dry, but a little cooler with avg daily highs of mid 20s Celsius and overnight lows of 16 Celsius, so you might need a jumper for the evenings. Constance Belle Mare Plage is on the East coast which tends to receive the brunt of the trade winds in July and August, so we often recommend stays at resorts on the more sheltered Western Coast during these months.
Mauritius is a fabulous beach holiday destination, easy to reach with direct connections from London and beautiful beaches protected from the Indian Ocean swells by offshore coral reefs. Although there are a lot of resorts they are all tastefully developed and low rise.
If you can gather the energy there is much to explore inland. We recommend climbing stunning La Morne mountain, trekking through jungle to dramatic waterfalls, rum tasting on historic sugar plantations and the beautiful Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanical Gardens botanical gardens.

We had such a good holiday. You did a fantastic job!
The house in Marrakesh was ridiculous. We effectively had it to ourselves. The accommodation was borderline palatial.
I actually think that the time we had in Marrakesh was sufficient. We could potentially have done a day by a pool but I think we’d done enough souk-ing by the end of Day Two.
The hotel in the mountains was a shade more rustic than I was expecting, but all great fun. Stunning views. The guide / mule / cook team were excellent and our guide (Hassan) tailored the treks to our capabilities well. He was superb, and really made an effort with the kids. The second and third day of trekking were particularly good. Such an adventure for the kids.
All the logistics worked seamlessly. Every aspect went like clockwork. Top marks. The advice on tipping was also much appreciated (I hate thinking that I’m getting mugged off or am potentially not giving enough…).
From my seven-year-old son:
I thought it was GREAT. The food was amazing and the culture was very interesting. My favourite bit was scrambling up rocks in the Atlas Mountains.
In retrospect, I’d probably do the trip in reverse. Flopping on the roof terrace after the rigours of the mountains would have been even more satisfying.

We had an amazing experience - absolutely loved it.
Mohamed and Said were great and very patient especially with me going downhill - was quite nervous about the scree slopes and paths. Will be a trip we remember forever
