Constance Belle Mare Plage is a large beachfront resort in the Belle Mare Area on the east coast of Mauritius. Spread across tropical gardens, this luxurious hotel has five star facilities and is perfect for an action packed family holiday.
Part of a family of ‘Constance’ resorts, this hotel comes with all the facilities and services you’d expect from an established high end brand. Fine dining is served in seven restaurants with the added option of six bars, a full spa offers a list of treatments along with a water sports and diving centre, four swimming pools, tennis courts and two 18 holes championship golf courses also being on offer. The activities here are endless and with two kilometres of stunning beach there is something for everyone.
The accommodation is large with 256 rooms split into prestige rooms, suites and private villas. Each room is spacious and tastefully decorated with private balconies with a range of garden and ocean views. The villas are particularly stunning with private plunge pools and 2-3 en-suite bedrooms.
The Constance resort is ideal for children of all ages. The ‘Kakoo Kids Club’ organises daily activities for 4-11 year olds including treasure hunts, water sports and arts and crafts as well as having its own swimming pool and outdoor play area for children to enjoy. A babysitting service is available as is a children’s dinner menu making this a great place for all the family to have an unforgettable holiday.
We had such a good holiday. You did a fantastic job!
The house in Marrakesh was ridiculous. We effectively had it to ourselves. The accommodation was borderline palatial.
I actually think that the time we had in Marrakesh was sufficient. We could potentially have done a day by a pool but I think we’d done enough souk-ing by the end of Day Two.
The hotel in the mountains was a shade more rustic than I was expecting, but all great fun. Stunning views. The guide / mule / cook team were excellent and our guide (Hassan) tailored the treks to our capabilities well. He was superb, and really made an effort with the kids. The second and third day of trekking were particularly good. Such an adventure for the kids.
All the logistics worked seamlessly. Every aspect went like clockwork. Top marks. The advice on tipping was also much appreciated (I hate thinking that I’m getting mugged off or am potentially not giving enough…).
From my seven-year-old son:
I thought it was GREAT. The food was amazing and the culture was very interesting. My favourite bit was scrambling up rocks in the Atlas Mountains.
In retrospect, I’d probably do the trip in reverse. Flopping on the roof terrace after the rigours of the mountains would have been even more satisfying.

We had an amazing experience - absolutely loved it.
Mohamed and Said were great and very patient especially with me going downhill - was quite nervous about the scree slopes and paths. Will be a trip we remember forever
