EnquireThe impressive Hotel Si Como No resort and wildlife refuge spans some ten acres and is located in a lovely spot on a tranquil hillside midway along Costa Rica’s west coast, overlooking the sparkling Pacific Ocean. The property is conveniently located just a short distance from the Manuel Antonio National Park, one of the country’s most popular parks due to its exceptionally intense biodiversity. Constructed with sustainability in mind and making use of the area’s particular topography, the resort’s 58 guestrooms and facilities are nestled right into their natural rainforest surroundings. There is a free shuttle service to the beach.
All 58 rooms are seamlessly integrated into the resort’s hilly terrain, offering an immersive experience complete with lush, tropical jungle surroundings and captivating views of land and sea (note that the Standard Rooms have jungle views only). Each room has a private balcony, as well as air conditioning, ceiling fans and a minibar. In keeping with the resort’s ethos of being completely at one with nature, there are no televisions in any of the guestrooms. In addition to the Standard Rooms, there are larger, split-level Superior Rooms, even larger Deluxe Rooms, and the Deluxe Suites which are great for families and honeymooners.
The ‘Claro Que Seafood Grill' is a sophisticated dining venue that specialises in seafood and has live music on select evenings. The resort’s other restaurant, ‘Rico Tico Jungle Grill’, has a more casual vibe and is well-known for its Banana Flambé show, a delightful fiery spectacle! This restaurant has a canopied seating area, a diverse menu and poolside service for those wishing to enjoy light bites and refreshing drinks by the pool.
When it comes to unwinding, there’s the Cala Spa, whose extensive line-up of treatments includes manicures, scrubs, facials and massages, with both indoor and outdoor sessions available. Other on-site facilities include a swimming pool with a waterslide and a cinema showing a selection of films.
There’s a wide range of activities on offer designed to showcase the rich biodiversity and natural wonders of the area, with some leisurely pursuits and others more physically challenging. The options include a visit to the nearby national park which positively teems with wildlife, a tour of the resort’s own butterfly atrium, fascinating excursions into the rainforest and various water-based activities such as snorkelling, parasailing, surfing and more.
Children of all ages are more than welcome. The resort is decidedly family friendly, there is a fun family swimming pool with waterfall slide and a small cinema for rainy days. Due to the rural location of the lodge, parents are reminded to keep a close eye on their children at all times.
We had such a good holiday. You did a fantastic job!
The house in Marrakesh was ridiculous. We effectively had it to ourselves. The accommodation was borderline palatial.
I actually think that the time we had in Marrakesh was sufficient. We could potentially have done a day by a pool but I think we’d done enough souk-ing by the end of Day Two.
The hotel in the mountains was a shade more rustic than I was expecting, but all great fun. Stunning views. The guide / mule / cook team were excellent and our guide (Hassan) tailored the treks to our capabilities well. He was superb, and really made an effort with the kids. The second and third day of trekking were particularly good. Such an adventure for the kids.
All the logistics worked seamlessly. Every aspect went like clockwork. Top marks. The advice on tipping was also much appreciated (I hate thinking that I’m getting mugged off or am potentially not giving enough…).
From my seven-year-old son:
I thought it was GREAT. The food was amazing and the culture was very interesting. My favourite bit was scrambling up rocks in the Atlas Mountains.
In retrospect, I’d probably do the trip in reverse. Flopping on the roof terrace after the rigours of the mountains would have been even more satisfying.

We just wanted to thank you for an absolutely amazing holiday. Everything went exactly to plan and we were blown away with the quality of the guides, transport and accommodation. The itinerary was perfect for our family with a great mix of guided and free days and the different destinations complemented each other well. We will definitely be using Tourdust again for our next trip! Particular highlights were the Ha Long Bay cruise, Hanoi, and the morning cycle tour in Siam Reap
