Overview

Tamarind Gardens is a small community run sustainable farm-stay in a peaceful rural village in the hinterlands of Kandy.

There are four comfortable but basic en-suite chalets each with views of the Victoria reservoir. There is a common dining room, and guests are welcome to help in the kitchen on a traditional wood burning stove. Accommodation here includes full board and all village activities included.

Activities include an escorted village walk, outing on catamaran with local fishermen, incense sticks production and swimming in the reservoir..There is an almost one to one interaction with guests (if to their liking).

  • We just wanted to thank you for an absolutely amazing holiday. Everything went exactly to plan and we were blown away with the quality of the guides, transport and accommodation. The itinerary was perfect for our family with a great mix of guided and free days and the different destinations complemented each other well. We will definitely be using Tourdust again for our next trip! Particular highlights were the Ha Long Bay cruise, Hanoi, and the morning cycle tour in Siam Reap

  • We had an amazing experience - absolutely loved it.
Mohamed and Said were great and very patient especially with me going downhill - was quite nervous about the scree slopes and paths.

Will be a trip we remember forever
