A good mid-range option with great facilities, this tranquil hotel offers 25 spacious rooms, a restaurant, bar, swimming pool, and a spa, all set in private gardens. The hotel is handily situated a few minutes’ drive from the bars and tourist attractions of Siem Reap, and is only 7km from the famed UNESCO world heritage site of Angkor Wat.
Communal areas at Suorkear include a restaurant with a sunny outdoor terrace where traditional Khmer cuisine is served, along with international dishes. Special diets can be accommodated. Outside in the pretty garden is a generous swimming pool surrounded by loungers.
Siem Reap, with its numerous shops, markets, and temples, is approximately 1km from the hotel, and a complimentary tuk-tuk service is provided for guests travelling into town. Complimentary bicycle hire, and a free airport shuttle service are also available. Excursions to the popular night market and guided tours of the temples including the famed Angkor Wat can be arranged and the hotel offers on-site Cambodian cookery classes. Massage and beauty treatments are available at the in-house spa and the lovely gardens and pool are ideal for relaxing after a busy day of sightseeing.
Accommodation at the property comprises 25 spacious rooms or suites, and one private villa with its own plunge pool. Each room is simply decorated with pale walls, dark wood floors, and traditional wooden furniture. All rooms have double or twin beds, an ensuite bathroom, air conditioning, and cable TV, along with a private balcony or veranda with garden or pool views.
Families are extremely welcome at the hotel. An outdoor play area is provided for little ones, and a number of family rooms are available.
We had such a good holiday. You did a fantastic job!
The house in Marrakesh was ridiculous. We effectively had it to ourselves. The accommodation was borderline palatial.
I actually think that the time we had in Marrakesh was sufficient. We could potentially have done a day by a pool but I think we’d done enough souk-ing by the end of Day Two.
The hotel in the mountains was a shade more rustic than I was expecting, but all great fun. Stunning views. The guide / mule / cook team were excellent and our guide (Hassan) tailored the treks to our capabilities well. He was superb, and really made an effort with the kids. The second and third day of trekking were particularly good. Such an adventure for the kids.
All the logistics worked seamlessly. Every aspect went like clockwork. Top marks. The advice on tipping was also much appreciated (I hate thinking that I’m getting mugged off or am potentially not giving enough…).
From my seven-year-old son:
I thought it was GREAT. The food was amazing and the culture was very interesting. My favourite bit was scrambling up rocks in the Atlas Mountains.
In retrospect, I’d probably do the trip in reverse. Flopping on the roof terrace after the rigours of the mountains would have been even more satisfying.

We just wanted to thank you for an absolutely amazing holiday. Everything went exactly to plan and we were blown away with the quality of the guides, transport and accommodation. The itinerary was perfect for our family with a great mix of guided and free days and the different destinations complemented each other well. We will definitely be using Tourdust again for our next trip! Particular highlights were the Ha Long Bay cruise, Hanoi, and the morning cycle tour in Siam Reap
