Overview

Altes Landhaus is set in the fertile Schoemanshoek Valley of South Africa’s Little Karoo. This stately Cape Dutch style homestead was built a hundred years ago and has served as the rectory to the local church from the 1950's until the early 1990's when it was loving restored. Antique furnishings and tasteful decor ring true to the homestead’s Victorian past, while Oregon pine floorboards and high-beamed ceilings reflect its rustic surroundings. There is a delightful pool to enjoy, leisurely walks around the scenic grounds provide many with an opportunity to admire the indigenous bird life or the farm’s own ostriches. No children under the age of 12 years.

  • Hi Lisa, We had a fabulous time thank you. The accommodation and other ideation were all terrific - that’s so much for your help. The apartment in Cape Town was particularly good - we would never have found that: Boschendal was great as well and game lodge was superb. Thanks again, Alistair

  • Can't praise tour dust enough, they helped us to create a holiday of a lifetime that has given us family memories we will treasure forever. From start to finish the whole experience was exactly what we wanted and more. Due to covid we waited 2 and a half years for this trip but worth the wait.
