Wales is a fantastic destination for a cycling holiday. There are a number of well signed trails with extensive traffic free sections. And of course, the dramatic coastlines, rugged mountains, historic towns and quaint villages are perfect for a cycling holiday in Wales. The towns and villages are awash with small local food producers - and with all that hunger inducing cycling you will be able to tuck into all those cream teas and fantastic local produce without an ounce of guilt.

One of the highlights of cycling in Wales is the Celtic Trail. The Celtic Trail is largely traffic free and encompasses all the scenery you could hope for on a cycling holiday in Wales, gorgeous coastal views, picnic perfect beaches, high level off road tracks, traffic free kiddy friendly sections. Quiet country lanes drop from a comfortably flat plateau down into pleasant fishing villages set in rocky coves or behind golden sands. Standing stones dot the route providing fascinating pre-history diversions. And to cap it all Pembrokeshire is full of small producers so there is plenty of opportunity to sate your cycling hunger with locally produced goodies in each village. Inland the Brecon Beacons offer a different take on a cycling holiday in Wales. The Taff trail winds its way down from the market town of Brecon through the valleys all the way to the Cardiff waterfront and is perfect for a short cycling break in Wales. Along the same vein but more suitable for those looking for a longer cycling holiday in Wales, the mid Wales cycling tour takes you in a circular route from the enticing bookish town of Hay-on-Wye through the rolling beauty of the Radnoshire Hills and Brecon Beacons.
All of our cycling holidays in Wales are available as self guided cycling holidays with comfortable cyclist friendly accommodation along the trail organised for you, your luggage transferred so you don't have to and of course well prepared route notes and maps. We do also offer some small group guided cycling tours in Wales, but dates are limited so you will need to book early. If you have any questions or are unsure how suitable a route is for you (and your fitness level) please give us a call or drop us an email (help@tourdust.com).
