This 10-day biking and poker holiday around South Africa sounds good enough as it is – but that’s only half of it. During the day, you’ll wend your way through epic mountain passes, along country roads, the Atlantic coastline and into forests. The evening, meanwhile, sees you compete against your team mates in poker contests, so the fun really cranks up. It all culminates on the penultimate evening, when the play-offs determine who the ultimate winner will be. But whether you win or lose, one thing’s for sure, it’s not all about poker chips - you’ll be leaving with lifelong memories of a great trip.

Forget the card games for a moment, and concentrate on the real winner of this tour – the location. On the back of a Harley Davidson, you’ll be freewheeling through countryside much more dramatic than sussing out whether you’re opponent’s got a good poker face. You’ll explore the Cape Peninsula, ride across the famous Chapman’s Peak Drive and into the Cape Peninsula National Park in one day alone. Plus, there’s an evening of African culture and music at the Gold of Africa Museum, too. You’ll also feel like you’ve stepped back in time as you ride into Matjiesfontein – a historic village that looks more like a place from a Wild West film set.

If you’re a big Harley Davidson fan and you love poker, then this one will have you drooling at the mere thought of it. It’s an intense ten days in which you’ll get to know the rest of the two groups pretty well as you’ll be spending all day riding, and all evening dining and playing cards, so you’ll need to be happy mingling. You’ll also need to be confident on a motorbike, and as some fair distances are covered, it’s really not one for novice riders.

Getting there

Fly into Cape Town and on arrival you’ll be met by one of the team and taken to your hotel.
