A week's holiday spent hiking in and round Dubrovnik. Explore the beautiful mountains in the Konvale region and enjoy far reaching views of the coast and the neighbouring countries of Bosnia and Montenegro. There is also time to visit the historical city of Dubrovnik, a Unesco World Heritage Site.
The mountainous Konavle region is right at the southern most tip of Croatia, with Montenegro to the South and Dubrovnik to the north. The region is relatively undiscovered and offers traditional farming villages and hills covered with forests and olive groves. In the centre, the highest mountain in the region, Snijeznica, dominates the landscape at 1234m high, whilst the rocky coastline of the Adriatic lies to the west. The Mediterranean climate and undulating landscape make this an inspiring choice for a walking holiday.
This group holiday is based in the Konavle region, from where you will go for daily hikes into the surrounding countryside. Throughout the week, you will explore different areas of the region, walking through dense Mediterranean forests, visiting old villages and climbing Mount Snjeznica for far-reaching views of the region. You will also have ample opportunity to explore the historic city of Dubrovnik, with a half-day's guided tour and also a free day at leisure to explore the many hidden treasures of this magnificent Unesco World Heritage Site.
You will need a decent level of fitness to participate on this holiday.
This is a group trip, so you will be in the company of others during your holiday.
