The Big Five Sanbona Wildlife Reserve has a unique Karoo location, only three hours from Cape Town. Set on 54,000 hectares which is home to three major biomes, Succulent Karoo, Thicket and Fynbos, priding themselves on strong community ties and development and conservation rehabilitation projects.
Gondwana Lodge overlooks Bellair Dam and resembles a typical thatched Karoo homestead, offering 12 generously proportioned luxury suites, each with endless views over the plains, Anysberg-mountains and beyond. This is an excellent choice for families and children of all ages will be entertained with an exciting “Kids on Safari” program.
The luxurious Dwyka Tented Lodge has only 9 tents situated on a horseshoe bend of a dry Karoo ravine. The beautifully appointed tents exude an atmosphere of pioneering adventure in a vast and hidden landscape. In addition there is a relaxation retreat, communal lounge with fireplace and TV, wine cellar and open air boma.
Tilney Manor consists of 3 separate units including six large open plan suites with private veranda overlooking the mountains and plains. The manor is set in well manicure indigenous gardens.
Guided scheduled activities include game drives, walks, rock art of the San people and boat safaris. Optional spa treatments are available. This is a perfect spot for stargazing with the absence of artificial light, guides are around in the evenings to walk you through the constellations. The San People have a rich history of story-telling passed down from generation to generation, romantic tales based on myth and their vision of the stars.

We had a fantastic trip thanks to your organisation! No problems encountered at all! Simbavarti were a joy to stay and explore with; the hotel in Capetown perfectly positioned to allow us to walk to the conference, and Camps bay accommodation was just lovely. The flights, transfers and staff we met along the way we're all very friendly and helpful. Having a car at the end was a perfect finale. My 10 yr old daughter came home with new insights on the world.
I had been meaning on my return to email you, but launched straight back into a weekend oncall and business as usual, so thanks for emailing.
I have sung your praises to friends and family!

Service rating : Good engagement and all comments were incorporated in the itinerary proposal. Good availability and plenty of patience to accommodate changes. Clear itinerary and details about accommodations and activities. Could have been improved with SatNav details when places were in more remote places.
Product : Many of the places we stayed were really exclusive and I would not have been able to find them independently so it was a great service from Tour Dust.
